About Madison

Madison Glackin, MA, LCMHC-A

I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be fully themselves — without judgment, without pretending. My path to counseling was not a straight line: I started in the sciences, earned a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University, and discovered along the way that my real passion was working with people, not lab samples.

I went on to earn my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University, where I trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Before entering private practice, I spent time as a Crisis Text Line counselor, providing support to people in their most vulnerable moments.

Today I see clients online across North Carolina, including the Charlotte area, where I work with individuals of all ages. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so you can see if we are a good fit before committing to anything.

My Approach

What Therapy Looks Like with Me

I meet you where you are — no assumptions, no scripts.

Values-Based Work

I help you identify what truly matters to you and build a life around those values — even when difficult thoughts and feelings show up. ACT is not about eliminating pain; it is about making room for it while still moving forward.

Practical and Present-Focused

I blend Solution-Focused Therapy with mindfulness techniques so every session gives you something concrete to work with. We focus on building your strengths, not rehashing the past endlessly.

LGBTQIA+ Affirming

Your identity is not something to "work through." My practice is affirming of all sexual orientations and gender identities. You can show up as your full self here.

Accessible Care

I offer a sliding scale because finances should not be a barrier to getting help. I also provide a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions before committing.

Interested in Working Together?
